March was a busy one, and it brought some exciting improvements—especially when it comes to managing guest relationships.
The Guest Relationship (CRM) Tools beta has been getting steady upgrades, thanks to your feedback. We’ve also added a few smaller features, made performance tweaks behind the scenes, and started laying the foundation for some things we’re really excited to share soon.
Let’s take a look at what’s new!
Major Updates – The Big Stuff
Guest Relationship Tools (Beta) – Now Even Better
Managing guest relationships just got a whole lot easier. With Guest Relationship Tools, you can see a guest’s booking history, recognize returning visitors, and even block problematic guests when needed.
Since launching the beta, we’ve been making improvements based on your feedback! Here are some of the biggest changes so far:
- Rebook and New Booking Buttons – Found on the booking view page and guest profiles, these shortcuts start a new booking with guest details and rooms pre-filled.
- Better Returning Guest Logic – A guest used to be marked as Returning after making two bookings—even if neither had happened yet. Now, they only get that label after completing a stay.
- Canceled Bookings Don’t Count – A guest with only canceled bookings won’t be marked as Returning, and canceled bookings no longer affect payment totals.
- Default Country Makes Sense – If no country is selected for a new guest, Sirvoy now defaults to your property’s country instead of always selecting the alphabetically first option–Afghanistan.
- More Editable Guest Fields – You can now update Invoice Reference and Purpose of Stay inside a guest’s profile.
- No More Surprise Deletions – Unlinking a guest’s last booking used to delete their profile without any heads up. Now, you’ll get a warning first.
- Faster Booking for Repeat Guests – Pro users can now search for guests directly when creating a new booking.

Medium Updates – Improvements You’ll Notice
Refactoring – The Big Behind-the-Scenes Overhaul
In March, we wrapped up a major system-wide refactoring—an under-the-hood upgrade that makes Sirvoy faster, more reliable, and easier to build on.
You won’t see much on the surface (for now), but this work improves performance and makes the whole system easier to upgrade with new features. Some immediate benefits you might notice:
✅ Searches are much faster—whether you’re looking up bookings or guests.
✅ You can now search by both phone number and name, making it easier to find exactly who you’re looking for.
Change Log – Small but Useful Tweaks
- Google Hotel Ads: Due to a change on Google’s side, Sirvoy’s integration with Google Hotel Ads has moved to the cost-per-click (CPC) bidding model. This means you’ll now be charged each time someone clicks on your ad, rather than per booking.
- New Back Button: We’ve added a back button right under the breadcrumbs on every page to make navigation easier. A small change, but one we think will make a difference!
Coming Soon – A Sneak Peek
Here’s a look at some of the things we’re working on next:
🚀 Custom Guest Tags – You’ll soon be able to tag guest profiles with whatever labels make sense for your business—whether it’s “Best Guest Ever,” “Allergy,” or anything else you want to track.
🚀 Filters on the Guests Page – We’re adding new filtering options to help you sort and manage guest profiles more efficiently. This also lays the groundwork for CSV exports in the future.
